Cinquain Poetry

To teach is not endless babble. Show the student the  point of the lesson, and then be quiet and let them fly.
The same goes for writing poetry. Some will soar sooner then others. Poetry is an art that must be learned in
one's own way, at their own speed.
On saying that, this is what I have been playing around with this week.

A Cinquain is a  five line poem that consists of

1st line- 2 syllables
2nd line- 4 syllables
3rd line- 6 syllables
4th line- 8 syllables
5th line- 2 syllables

Windy

Trees bowing low

Mighty storm is blowing

Angry gods rage throwing lightning

Calm now

And from this simple Cinquain comes this, which can be made as long or short as you wish.
I will be adding more to it for a future poem.

Trees bow low
Shaking fearfully

And angry gods throw lightening
As the mighty storm rages
